Update on PlusPortals and Severe Weather
Thank you to our parents for their patience in the last few days with our learning management system, Plus Portals. Rediker, the company that provides this service to us, has had performance issues across all school learning management systems, including ours, which has impacted thousands of schools nationwide Click here to continue reading.
SPOTLIGHT
In the next two weeks we will have a series of special dress down days called Dunne for a Cure. The purpose of these days is to raise funds to help find cures for various diseases that have impacted our community. Each dress down day costs a $1 donation and all dress down day rules apply. All funds collected will be donated toward approved organizations that are aligned with our Catholic mission and vision. Click here for the full schedule.
The date has been set. Start getting in shape for the annual Bishop Dunne Funne Runne and Walk! This year it will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017. The Funne Runne/Walk will begin at 8:00 a.m. in front of the school. Participants will be able to register online soon. Click here for more information.

Ethan Casas, Conservationist and Birder
Sophomore Ethan Casas has been a birder since he became a volunteer in the Conservation Guide program at the Dallas Zoo in 2015. The zoo fielded a youth team in The Great Texas Birding Classic and took first place in 2015 for the central region. Click here for the full story.

On Tuesday, March 28, 2017, in a long-standing tradition, all freshmen had the opportunity to attend a guided campus tour and admissions presentation at a local university.Click here the full story.
Falcons to Run in Prestigious Texas Relays
Four members of the Falcons track team are heading to the Texas Relays at UT Austin on March 31 and April 1, 2017. This prestigious annual event attracts elite track athletes from across the country in both high school and college. Click here the full story.
Lady Falcons Trounce Trinity Christian Cedar Hill
The Lady Falcons snapped a five game losing streak last Thursday by beating Trinity Christian Cedar Hill 19-3 in four innings. The win brings Bishop Dunne to 7-7 overall in the season. You can read the full story here.

Children's Chorus Summer Singing Camp
The Children's Chorus of Greater Dallas will host a summer singing camp on June 5 through June 9, 2017, at First United Methodist Church, 1928 Ross Avenue, Dallas, TX. The camp is open to all children who have completed grades 3 through 7. For more information, please click here.
University of Houston College of Pharmacy
The University of Houston College of Pharmacy is offering a four-day pharmacy summer camp for high school students Tuesday, June 20, through Friday, June 23, 2017. Students must be current sophomores or juniors, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above, and a math/science cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. How to Study Classes Offered at Bishop Dunne this Summer
How to Study classes are designed to help students be more successful in school. Students will learn a series of skills and strategies designed to provide an immediate improvement to students.
The class is open to students from middle school through college and focuses on goal setting, organization, time management, and note taking, among other skills.
