2017 Bishop Dunne Funne Runne

The date has been set. Start getting in shape for the annual Bishop Dunne Funne Runne and Walk! This year it will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017. The Funne Runne/Walk will begin at 8:00 a.m. in front of the school. Click here to register.

Bishop Dunne Theater Performs Our Town
On March 31 and April 1, 2017, the Theater Department performed Thornton Wilder's Our Town to appreciative audiences. Mr. Nicholas Brandt, director, chose the play because of the message it conveys so movingly. Click here for the full story.

 
 
 

Sophomore Heading to State Tennis Tournament

Sophomore Gabriel Fajardo qualified for the TAPPS State Tennis Tournament on March 29, 2017, by winning the consolation bracket. Fajardo has been a shining light this season, posting a 5-2 record overall. Click here the full story.

 
 
 

Orchestra Students Serve Their Community
Orchestra director Ms. Julia Gray-Lion has been building the string orchestra program at Bishop Dunne for six years now. She has designed the program to launch the musical interests of young people into a lifelong enjoyment of music learning, music performance, music service, and music exploration. Falcons Compete Well at Texas Relays
This past weekend, four Falcons traveled to Austin, Texas, to compete in the Texas Relays. Out of 55 total 4x100 relay teams, Cameron Miller, Marquez Beason, Jabari Khepera, and Tremayne Bell finished in 13th place. You can read the full story here.

News from the Clinic: Important Recall Notice for EpiPens
Please click here for an important notice from the FDA about an EpiPen recall. EpiPens stored in the clinic have been checked and parents have been notified if their student's EpiPen is included in the recall.

 
 
 
 
 

Safe Environment Program News
There will be a Safe Environment Family of Faith training class on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. in room 310 for new volunteers. Interviews will begin at 4:30 p.m. To register for the class and interview, please click here. Prior to attending class, please complete the screening by clicking here.​

There will also be an Update training class on Thursday, May, 11, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. for individuals who have been previously cleared through the Diocese of Dallas and need update training. Please register for the class by clicking here.

Photos for the volunteer identification badge will be taken prior to class. All volunteers must be Safe Environment cleared before receiving a volunteer badge.

Volunteer Program News

Volunteer hours accumulated to date as a community are 3,640. We are at 33% of family volunteers for the year.

It's not too late to earn 10 volunteer hours by donating the following supply package in its entirety.

6 – Large Kleenex
2 – Heating pads
2 – Lysol disinfectant spray

Donations may be dropped off at the front office for Mrs. Echavarria. Please be sure to sign the volunteer log to receive credit for your hours. As always, your generosity is greatly appreciated.​
