Bishop Dunne is wholly dedicated to helping prepare its students for the next phase of their academic careers. Numerous programs are in place to guide and inform students and parents about the college process. In addition, students are afforded the opportunity to take more demanding courses through pre-Advanced Placement and Advanced Placement offerings and earn college credit through Dallas College.
We begin the college admissions planning with students and parents starting freshman year, as. Our middle school students are introduced to the college process as well, as we believe understanding the college process is crucial to developing a strong road map for the future. Over the course of the school year, several meetings and events are planned to walk with families through the planning process. Additionally, juniors are introduced to the college and financial aid application process in order to best prepare them for senior year. Parents and students are encouraged to schedule an appointment to meet with counselors so they may set long term plans.
