Scholarships

Bishop Dunne Catholic School offers a limited number of merit scholarships to admitted freshmen. Recipients demonstrate exceptional accomplishment, leadership, commitment to service, and intellectual promise.

Merit scholarships are renewable for four years of high school pending satisfactory academic performance. Amounts may vary. Please see the descriptions below to learn more.

Stefan Browne Memorial Scholarship

Amount: $500 per academic year

This scholarship is given to a student in Stefan Brown's name. Stefan, Class of 2001, passed away suddenly in 2008. His friends and family have built this fund to honor his name and his memory.

The scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman in need, who has a strong work ethic, an interest in music, is a good citizen, and believes in community service and outreach.

There will only be one award recipient in high school at Bishop Dunne at any given time. This award will not be granted for the 2019-2020 school year.

The scholarship is for a student who is pursuing music is renewable each year if an acceptable GPA and clean discipline record is maintained.

John David Wooten Scholarship

Amount: $2,000 per academic year

This scholarship will be awarded to an incoming minority freshman in need, who has a strong work ethic, plans for the future, and believes in the importance of physical education, athletics, social justice, and community service.

There will only be one award recipient in high school at Bishop Dunne at any given time. This award will not be granted for the 2019-2020 school year.

The scholarship is renewable each year if an acceptable GPA and clean discipline record is maintained.

Presidential Scholarship

Amount: TBD

This scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman who demonstrates strong academic promise, a commitment to community service and social justice, is considered a leader among his or her peers, and pursues excellence in all areas.

The Bishop Dunne Admissions Office will identify outstanding candidates for the Presidential Scholarship from the entire admissions applicant pool that has applied by January 19, 2019.

Candidates selected by Admissions for consideration will be invited to submit a Presidential Scholarship supplemental application in February. All selected candidates will be invited to campus for an interview in late February or early March.
