Middle School Athletics
If your student is interested in participating in a Middle School sport this spring - baseball, softball, soccer and/or track - please read the following information. You will register using the link on this page. Just a reminder that student-athletes are required to have a physical for the 2022 – 2023 school year. We realize that some of our Middle School students are going on the Washington D.C. trip in late March. We will work with our sports leagues to block off that weekend from games. Athletic fee includes uniforms, league fee, equipment, transportation, referees, field use, meet/tournament fee. Here are some specifics about each of our Middle School spring sports:
- Soccer is offered to girls and boys in the sixth, seventh and eighth grade. This spring season we will be competing in the Dallas Parochial League. Sixth grade will participate in Futsal. The seventh and eighth grade will play 11 v. 11 soccer and the team will be coed. Dallas Parochial League games are usually on Friday evenings, Saturdays, and/or Sundays. Games could begin the weekend of March 25, 2023, and will continue through the end of May depending on playoffs and rainouts. Players will need soccer cleats and shin guards. Practices will begin in March. The athletic fee for soccer this year will be $120 for each player. This will cover the team league fee, uniforms, equipment, referees, field use, etc.
- Track is offered to girls and boys in the sixth, seventh and eighth grade. This spring season we will be competing in the Dallas Parochial League. Formal practices will be determined by our Head Track Coach, Coach Murphy. The athletic fee for Track this year will be $120 for each athlete. This will cover entry fees to track meets, league fees, uniforms, equipment, etc.
- Baseball is offered to boys in sixth, seventh, and eighth grade. This spring season we will be competing in the Dallas Parochial League and possibly some independent games. Dallas Parochial League games are usually on Sundays and a few Wednesday evenings and will begin the weekend of March 25, 2023, and could continue through the beginning of June depending on playoffs and rainouts. Practices will begin formally in March. Practices will vary from week-to-week depending on the availability of fields. A practice schedule is being developed for the upcoming season and will be emailed to you upon completion. The athletic fee for baseball this year will be $120 for each player and is due Monday, February 27, 2023. Baseball players will receive a baseball cap that they will keep for their own. Athletes must purchase gray pants as part of their game uniform. Other baseball equipment such as a glove, helmet, and cup must be provided by the student. If your child has their own bat, it must be a -5 drop and must be USSSA or BBCOR approved bats.
- Softball is offered to girls in sixth, seventh, and eighth grade. This spring season we will be competing in the Dallas Parochial League. The DPL games are usually played on Sunday with a few games on Wednesday evenings. The first game could begin on the weekend of March 25, 2023, and will continue through the beginning of June depending on playoffs and rainouts. Practices will vary week to week based on the field availability. The official game schedule will become available the week after spring break. The athletic fee for Softball this year will be $120 per player and is due Monday, February 27, 2023. Athletes must purchase gray pants as part of their game uniform. Other baseball equipment such as a glove, or helmet must be provided by the student. If your child has their own bat, please check with the coach and DPL rulebook before purchasing or using.
