CAFETERIA INFORMATION

SETUP/FUND YOUR STUDENT'S CAFETERIA ACCOUNT

Bishop Dunne is a cashless campus. We use PaySchools for cafeteria payments. If you have not signed up for a PaySchools account, please do so prior to the start of school.  Once you have signed up, you'll be able to fund your student's account. You may setup a payment method to automatically replenish your child's account, or replenish manually.

If you previously setup a PaySchools account, your login credentials should still work. If you have forgotten any of your login credentials, use the "Forgot Password" link to reset your information.

CAFETERIA PRICING AND MENUS

Chef Pete is working on menus and pricing for the cafeteria. Due to continuing supply chain issues and overall food price increases, he is working to minimize the price increases while maintaining quality.

COVID PROTOCOL 2022-2023

Bishop Dunne COVID Protocols August 2022

Please read the follow and follow the protocols.  If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Marchiony (mmarchiony@bdcs.org).

My student is a close contact of a person who has tested positive for COVID-19:

  • If your student is not experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, they may continue to attend school and participate in school activities.
  • The use of high-quality, well-fitting masks (N95/KN95) is strongly encouraged for anyone with a known exposure to COVID-19.
  • If your student begins experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 while at home, please keep them home from school and notify the clinic staff. If your student experiences symptoms of COVID-19 during the school day, they should report to the school clinic for evaluation. A parent/guardian will be contacted if testing is indicated, and/or if it is determined that the student should return home.

My student has tested positive for COVID-19:

  • Notify the Bishop Dunne of your student’s positive test by emailing Mrs. Marchiony (mmarchiony@bdcs.org) and Ms. Owens (aowens@bdcs.org).
  • Email a copy or photograph of your student’s positive test result to the clinic staff
  • Parents/Guardians of students who test positive for COVID-19 will receive instructions from the clinic staff regarding a specific isolation timeline and test-to-return protocols for their student.

Bishop Dunne protocols for ending isolation and test-to-return strategies for individuals who have had COVID-19:

  • Individuals who test positive for COVID-19, with or without symptoms, should isolate at home for at least 5 days.
    • To calculate the 5-day isolation period for symptomatic individuals, day 0 is the first day of symptoms. Day 1 is the first full day after symptoms developed.
    • To calculate the 5-day isolation period for asymptomatic individuals, day 0 is the day of the positive test – the day the individual was tested - and day 1 is the first full day after the specimen was collected for the positive test.
  • To end isolation and return to school on day 6, the individual must meet the following criteria
    • Fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication.
    • Overall improvement in symptoms.
    • The individual receives a negative result on a rapid antigen COVID test, performed on day 6 and confirmed by a member of the Bishop Dunne clinic staff. A copy or photograph of the test result should be emailed Mrs. Marchiony  (mmarchiony@bdcs.org)  prior to the student’s return to campus.
  • If an individual receives a positive test result on day 6, they should remain in isolation. They may continue to test every 24 hours after day 6 and can end isolation when the test result is negative, or after 10 days of isolation, whichever occurs first.
  • Students in isolation for COVID-19 will be able to remain current with schoolwork and homework through Plus Portals and Teams. Students in isolation should remain in contact with their teachers via email and Teams throughout their absence from school.

Portals login for students and parents

If you are a new student, you will receive your bdcs.org email address the first day of school. Your advisory teacher will walk you through accessing PlusPortals.

Note: for all parents, students and faculty, if you missed the 24 hour window, you may also login with your Username and use the "Forgot username or password" link to set a password.  Additionally, if you are returning, your Username and Password from last year will work.

ATHLETIC FORMS

All student athletes must have a current physical on file prior to participating in both TAPPS and DPL sports. Participation includes practice as well as competition.  TAPPS is requiring all paperwork to be submitted electronically through RankOneSport.   Complete details found here

BUS SERVICE

Students need to be registered for bus transportation for the entire school year. Students entering at mid-term may register for bus transportation for the remainder of the year if there is space available. Please note that fees must be paid in advance. Since registration reserves a seat on the bus, there will be no discount for non-use. Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

If additional information is required or you wish to express interest in a proposed bus stop, please contact Stephen Netsch at snetsch@bdcs.org or call 469-291-1860. Please note that bus stops will not be added unless there are enough riders. As well, bus stops may be eliminated if there are no riders for existing stops.

GROUP ME GRADE LEVEL COMMUNICATIONS

Each grade (6-12) has a text message channel for communication, thus providing another level of targeted messaging to reach a particular grade. Typically, this information is also sent in a grade-level email, general email, or found in the Falconer. The grade-level text messages simply adds another layer of communication for parents, and provides a great way to send reminders, last minute changes, etc.

If you wish to receive these messages, you must sign-up (Bishop Dunne cannot subscribe you to these groups). Please subscribe to your student's grade level as listed below (if you have a student in more than one grade, you will need to subscribe to each grade).

Please keep grade-level communication positive and informative. Grade-level communications are NOT to be used as a platform for complaints. If you have any questions about grade-level communications, please contact Norma Echavarria, volunteer liaison coordinator at Bishop Dunne.
