Dual Credit Update

As a college preparatory school, Bishop Dunne wants all students to have the opportunity to earn college credit while in high school. This week, a Mountain View representative visited freshman seminar classes to register all 9th graders for dual credit. To qualify for dual credit, students must pass the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment, a state-approved placement test, click here. The testing fee is waived. Next week at the school, 9th and 10th graders will attend a TSI bootcamp to prepare for the test.

The following week, 9th and 10th grade students will be bused to Mountain View to take the reading and writing portions of the TSI. If a student already attained the required scores on the TSI in those subject areas, he or she will be scheduled to take the math TSI. More details will be shared with parents and students about what to expect for these upcoming events.

If parents were not able to attend one of the dual credit meetings offered and have not yet met with Mrs. Kirchhoff to discuss dual credit, please email her at to schedule a time.
