Thank you to all parents, friends, faculty, staff, and Bishop Dunne board members who were in attendance at the Bishop Dunne community meeting Tuesday night. The school values the feedback and inquiries that were communicated, and they will guide the school's strategies and initiatives in the coming months. Click here to view the presentation slides.
At the meeting, board member, Bishop Dunne alum, and President Search Committee Chair, Art Herrera, III, gave an overview of the president search process. The following information was shared:
In June of 2018 a President Search Committee of the Board of Directors was formed. This committee was charged with hiring an executive search firm to oversee the presidential search and hiring process.
- In early August 2018 the committee hired Peña Search Consulting, a firm with a successful history of hiring executives at schools and non-profits nation-wide.
- Peña Search Consulting and the President Search Committee completed a projected timeline of the hiring process with the first step being a series of constituent consultations with faculty, staff, students, and administrators that was completed in early September.
- From those consultations, Peña Search Consulting created a profile of an ideal candidate for the position of president of Bishop Dunne Catholic School. That profile has been pushed out nationally. Candidate résumés will be collected for the next six to eight weeks.
