Congratulations to our students who received a letter of commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Program. Shown above (l-r) Dale McKean, Thaxton Mathur and Gabrielle Day, IN THE SPOTLIGHT Congratulations to our new student ambassadors! Bishop Dunne Student Ambassadors held its orientation, where newly appointed ambassadors connected over pizza and soft drinks. This year's ambassadors include sophomores, juniors and seniors involved in photography, volleyball, football, GIS, strings, the arts, Boy Scouts, Student Council, National Honor Society, Latinos Unidos, and many other extracurricular activities.
The ambassadors received opening remarks from president, Tom Maj, principal, Mary Beth Marchiony, advancement director, Lydia Torrez, and admissions director, Brian Muth. This year's program will be managed by Mrs. Patty Salazar-Martel and Mr. Devin Nguyen. GOOD TO KNOW Bishop Dunne Parent Captains The invitation was made and twenty-two parents stepped up to become Bishop Dunne Parent Captains! The organizational meeting was held last Monday evening, and everyone is excited about launching this new initiative over the next couple of weeks. The purpose of this group is to improve and reinforce communications among the parent community.
Announcements from the Parent Captains will include messaging about Advancement and Admissions campaigns along with parent initiated communications that are important to your particular grade level. Our goal is to be brief, provide you with high level communication, and to lead you to a link for more details. This will be another communications tool that will enhance our website, weekly Falconer, and all-school emails.
A special email will be emailed to parents in a few weeks providing details on how to join your grade level electronic group to receive messaging from your Grade Level Parent Captains.
A special thank you to all Parent Captains!

Does the company you work for have a matching gift program? There are so many ways to enhance online giving to Bishop Dunne, but what if you could double it? Corporate matching gifts are a type of philanthropy in which companies financially match donations that their employees make to nonprofit organizations. When an employee makes a donation, they'll request the matching gift from their employer, who then makes its own donation. -more-
