Above: online learning Dunne style! Send your photos to news@bdcs.org! GOOD TO KNOW Oh, what a difference a week makes! As you know, Bishop Dunne quickly transitioned to an online learning environment March 23, and is going strong! We continue to work through challenges and look for new ways to keep our students engaged in learning.
A few important things to know: There is some confusion on schedules. To clarify, everything is in the online learning document. Be sure to login and adhere to schedules.
Attendance Attendance will be taken each day at 10:00 a.m. by checking the login date/time stamp for students in PlusPortals. Parents of students that have not logged in will be contacted by the school to check in. If students are home sick or do not have access to the internet, please e-mail Ms. Owens at aowens@bdcs.org or use the attendance form on Care Monkey.
The academic school day will go on as usual from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Students should log in to PlusPortals first to check on each class at the typically scheduled time. Teachers will post the agenda for the class day there with instructions.
Monday: Purple Day schedule, all lunch and study hall breaks will be from 11:45 a.m. – 12:50 p.m.
Above: The home page of BDCS.org has been modified to give simple access to important and pertinent information. Please review it regularly to stay informed. Additionally, the homepage "pop-up" notification feature will be updated frequently with important messaging.

#ShelterInPoems, a program of the National Academy of Poets, encourages people to share poems they find inspiring in uncertain times. Post a poem from their website that you brings you comfort with #ShelterIn Poems and say why you chose it.
Here's one by Ada Limon called "Instructions on Not Giving Up." Read it here. The trees reawakening in the spring always fills me with hope.
