MUSIC READING SUMMER CAMP
This is a series of classes designed to help musicians read music. No prior reading experience is required, but it will help. Students will start with basic reading skills to uncover misunderstandings and misconceptions of how to read music. The class will move toward reading complicated and advanced rhythms that will help students of all levels. The goal of these classes is to give students an understanding of how to read all rhythms that they will encounter from middle school through the end of high school…and possibly into college.

Dates: June 10-13 from 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
SUMMER JAZZ CAMP
The Bishop Dunne Summer Jazz camp is a four day camp where we will learn some jazz history, some basic music theory, and standard jazz tunes.
The camp will conclude with a performance at 3:00p.m. on Thursday, June 27.
This camp is open to all musicians with at least one year of learning that can also play at least one octave scales as shown here.
Those wanting to attend as a rhythm section member (piano, drum set, guitar, bass) must have basic performing proficiency to participate.
Cost: $100
Dates: June 17-20 from 9:00a.m.-12:00p.m. and again 1:00p.m. to 4:00p.m.
MUSIC THEORY PRIMER
This class is offered to help prepare musicians for AP music theory at Bishop Dunne, or to just begin understanding the fundamentals of an academic study of music. It will cover basics of written and aural music, with time spent practicing each.
Cost is $50 per person
