Each fall, Bishop Dunne hosts a college fair for high school students and parents. A diverse group of colleges from across the country attend the fair to enlighten our students about the exciting opportunities they offer in higher education.

*Due to the limitation of visitors to campus this fall, students were able to attend a virtual college fair hosted by Bishop Dunne, in conjunction with the Catholic high schools throughout the Dallas area. 

At Bishop Dunne we believe the experience of being on a college campus is essential to the college process. For that reason we set aside a day each spring to take the entire freshman class on a tour of a local college campus. Not only do the students take a tour on this visit, but they also participate in an admissions presentation and enjoy lunch on campus.

During the fall of their sophomore year, the entire class will again visit a local college campus. 

As there are limitations to group visits on college campuses, we are planning options for students to take virtual tours throughout the fall. 

Throughout the year, admissions representatives from various college campuses visit with Bishop Dunne students to share current information about their institutions. Bishop Dunne students have the opportunity to learn about the admissions process and financial aid, and can ask questions specific to their unique experiences.

As part of the elective options within the curriculum, juniors can take a semester course focused on test preparation for the SAT and ACT. 

During the class, students are exposed to test questions, test-taking strategies, and question types. Throughout the course, students take timed tests to become familiar with procedures and time management for each question.

Additionally, juniors are introduced to the college and financial aid application process in order to best prepare them for senior year.
